4t/4te đươc thiết kế để có thể trụ vững với hầu hết những ứng dụng di động khác nhau mà không phụ thuộc vào những tiêu chuẩn gò bó, bao gồm khả năng rơi từ độ cao 8ft xuống nền bê tông. 4t/4te cho những bản in với chất lượng cao hóa đơn khổ 4 inch, phiếu giao nhận, nhãn… 4t hỗ trợ kết nối Serial và IrDA. 4te không có đặc điểm cấu trúc vượt trội so với 4t nhưng tốc độ sử lý 4te cao hơn 10 lần, bộ nhớ lớn hơn, kết nối USB là đặc điểm đáng lưu ý, thêm nữa là khả năng sạc bên ngoài và tùy chọn giao tiếp không dây Bluetooth, 802.11b/g.
